Open, Measure and Print CAD Files Without a CAD Licence
A customer emails a STEP file. A supplier sends a DWG. You've got a DXF you want to check before it goes to the laser. If you don't have CAD software on the computer in front of you, that usually means asking for a PDF and waiting. The CDI CAD File Viewer fixes that. What it does
Drop in a STEP, STP, IGES, STL, DXF or DWG file and it opens in your browser. From there you can:
- rotate, zoom and jump to front, top, side and isometric views
- show edges, wireframe, a grid or a bounding box with overall dimensions
- take a section cut through a 3D part
- switch DXF and DWG layers on and off
- measure between points, snapping to corners and line ends
- save a PNG snapshot
- print a third-angle drawing sheet at a standard scale on A4, A3 or Letter
